MN Food Share March Campaign News!
Each March, thousands of Minnesotans throughout the state collaborate to raise food and funds for their local food shelves and Minnesota Food Share. This year’s MN Food Share March Campaign runs from March 1 through April 11, 2021. This year PRISM is requesting donations of any of these items: tuna, chicken, sugar, flour, pasta sauce, oil, laundry soap, and cleaning supplies.
Covid-19 pandemic required PRISM to change its food distribution model several times throughout the year in order to maintain a safe environment for participants, staff, and volunteers. Despite those challenges, PRISM served 4,688 households and distributed 1,414,000 pounds of food. Almost double 2019 totals.
Every pound of food and all cash donations collected from March 1 through the first week of April will count toward qualifying PRISM for the extra financial reward from this yearly drive. Donate by dropping off directly at PRISM, at Holy Nativity, sending a check direct to PRISM, or online via the PRISM website. The number of families suffering food insecurity remains incredibly high and your donations are critical to meet this need. Individual donations are PRISM’s single biggest source of support.
