Reformation 500 Years Hymn Festival

On Sunday, October 29th we celebrate 500 Years of the Reformation with a Hymn Festival during both worship services at 8:30 & 10:30!

Martin Luther posted his “Ninety-Five Theses” in Wittenberg on Oct. 31, 1517, and the resulting debate about Christian teaching and practice led to changes that have shaped the course of Western Christianity for almost 500 years.

This Sunday we will sing hymns throughout worship including “Holy, Holy, Holy,” “Immortal, Invisible,” “Beautiful Savior” and of course, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.” Music will be led by organ, piano, brass, guitar, oboe and the Nativity Choir!

Education Hour is at 9:30 and we offer options for all ages:

  • Sunday School!
  • Sunday Forum is in the Worship Area. Our topic is “The Subversive Luther – Part 1.”
  • Youth Forum is in the Youth Room/Annex. Topic: “Gathering for the Reformation (Going Deeper).”

Or at 9:30 you can enjoy coffee, donuts & conversation in the Fellowship Hall!
